Privacy Policy
Your business and financial data stays local.
Ledgora is designed as offline, local-first desktop software. We do not host your cash-flow files, transactions, reports, forecasts, or business records in the cloud.
Effective date: July 7, 2026. This Privacy Policy applies to the Ledgora desktop software, ledgora.app website, Ledgora account portal, license services, update services, support tools, and related services operated by Ledgora LLC.
1. Our privacy approach
Ledgora is built for users who want professional cash-flow forecasting without placing their sensitive financial records into a cloud accounting platform. The Ledgora desktop application stores your working files locally on your computer. Ledgora LLC does not receive, host, review, sell, or analyze your accounting files, forecasts, transaction lists, budgets, vendors, customers, receipts, notes, or reports unless you deliberately send that information to us for support.
2. Information that stays on your computer
Information you create or import into Ledgora Desktop is intended to remain local to your device or to storage locations that you choose. This may include business names, cash-flow forecasts, income and expense entries, categories, notes, goals, reports, project files, exports, backups, imported data, local settings, and related records.
Ledgora does not automatically upload this information to Ledgora LLC, Cloudflare, Stripe, Google, Microsoft, Resend, or any other third-party service. If you choose to save backups to OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, a USB drive, network storage, email, or another location, that storage choice is controlled by you and may be subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices.
3. Information we collect for accounts, licensing, and purchases
To operate the website, account portal, license system, downloads, support, and purchase flow, we may collect and store limited account and service information, including:
- Name and email address.
- Password hash and authentication session records.
- Email verification status.
- Optional Google or Microsoft sign-in identifier if you choose to use third-party sign-in.
- Two-factor authentication status, recovery-code status, and security-event records.
- License key, license status, activation limit, activation count, device activation records, and revocation status.
- Purchase records, Stripe checkout session identifiers, Stripe customer identifiers, payment intent identifiers, receipt references, amount paid, currency, refund status, and related one-time purchase records.
- Download records, software version checks, latest release metadata, and update service requests.
- Support tickets, messages, attachments you choose to provide, and administrative audit logs.
4. What we do not collect from Ledgora Desktop
- Your company cash-flow data, forecasts, budgets, transaction history, reports, receipts, vendors, customers, or notes.
- Bank login credentials or full payment card numbers.
- Advertising identifiers or behavioral advertising profiles.
- Cloud copies of your local Ledgora project files.
- Local desktop usage analytics unless a future diagnostic feature is clearly labeled and optional.
5. Payments and Stripe
Ledgora Professional is offered as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment processor we may identify at checkout. Ledgora LLC does not store full credit card numbers. Stripe may collect payment information, billing details, fraud-prevention data, and transaction records under its own terms and privacy policy.
We use payment records to confirm purchases, issue licenses, provide receipts, handle refunds, prevent fraud, and support customers.
6. License activation and update checks
Ledgora Desktop may contact Ledgora’s licensing or update service to activate a license, check whether a license is valid, detect revocation, download release metadata, or retrieve software updates. These requests may include limited technical information such as account identifier, license key or entitlement, software version, activation timestamp, activation status, operating system, and device activation identifier.
License and update checks do not require sending your local financial data to Ledgora.
7. Email verification and security emails
We may use Resend or a similar transactional email provider to send account verification emails, password reset emails, security alerts, license emails, receipts, and support messages. These providers process email address, message content, delivery metadata, and related technical information needed to deliver the message.
8. Third-party sign-in
If you choose Google Sign-In, Microsoft Sign-In, or another third-party identity provider, we may receive information such as your email address, name, account identifier, and authentication status from that provider. Third-party sign-in is optional. You may continue to use email-and-password login when available.
9. Cookies, sessions, and security logs
The Ledgora website and portal use essential cookies or similar technologies for login sessions, account security, two-factor authentication, fraud prevention, and service operation. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party ad networks, or cross-site advertising profiles.
We may log IP address, browser type, device type, approximate region, request time, failed login attempts, session creation, session revocation, and other security events to protect accounts and prevent abuse.
10. Hosting and infrastructure
Ledgora’s website, API, database, downloads, and release files may be hosted using Cloudflare services such as Pages, Workers, D1, and R2. Cloudflare may process technical request data, IP addresses, security events, and operational logs as part of hosting, routing, caching, DDoS protection, and abuse prevention.
11. No ads and no sale of personal information
Ledgora does not display advertisements in the desktop application or sell personal information. Ledgora’s business model is based on software licensing and one-time purchases, not advertising or monetizing your financial data.
12. Support requests
If you contact support, we collect the information you provide, such as name, email address, issue description, attachments, screenshots, logs, and correspondence. Please do not send confidential financial records unless needed for support and you are comfortable sharing them.
13. Data retention
Local Ledgora Desktop data remains on your device until you delete it. Account, purchase, license, support, and security records may be retained as needed for business operations, legal compliance, tax and accounting records, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, warranty support, license enforcement, and customer service.
14. Your choices
You may request account assistance, correction, deletion, or export of account-related information by contacting support. Some records, such as purchase, tax, fraud-prevention, security, and audit records, may need to be retained where required or reasonably necessary.
15. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect account and licensing systems, including HTTPS, password hashing, session controls, email verification, optional two-factor authentication, administrative audit logging, and restricted admin access. No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, operating system account, backups, exports, license keys, and passwords.
16. Children’s privacy
Ledgora is not intended for children under 13 and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Ledgora evolves. Updated versions will be posted on ledgora.app with a new effective date.
